Insurance Company Makes Major Donation for Oklahoma Wildfire Relief
Representatives from State Farm insurance present officials with the American Red Cross a check for $10,000, Thursday Morning.
A major insurer stepped up to the plate Thursday Morning to make a major donation to wildfire relief efforts.
State Farm presented the Eastern Oklahoma Chapter of the American Red Cross with a ten-thousand dollar grant to help aid with their ongoing relief efforts.
August's devastating fires burned over 114,000 acres and destroyed over 600 structures.
The Red Cross says over 100 volunteers worked more than 12,400 hours to help those affected by the wildfires.
State Farm agent Steve Lane tells KTUL.com, "if you haven't been through there you really can't understand how it affected people's lives." Lane added, he's glad he could "be of some small assistance."
