The Tulsa Oilers gutted out a close 4-3 win against the Arizona Sundogs.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Michel Beausoleil secured the win for Tulsa with a goal in the third period.

The Oilers were led by Beausoleil, who grabbed one goal. Beausoleil scored on the power play 9:39 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Tulsa. Tulsa had gained a power play chance when Chad Nehring was whistled for holding. Ryan Menei provided the assist.

The Oilers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Arizona to score on any of its three power plays. Tulsa relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Beausoleil, Ben Gordon and Ryan Cramer took 14 of the team's 26 shots.

Tulsa also got points from Gordon, who also had one goal and one assist and Menei, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Tulsa received assists from Drew Fisher, who had two and Mike Ullrich, Jake Trask, and Troy Ofukany, who contributed one a piece.

By firing 37 shots on goal, the Sundogs exceeded the 23.6 shots they average per game this year.

Arizona was helped by Mario Larocque, who racked up one goal. Larocque scored 1:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Arizona. Arizona also got a goal from Jake Hauswirth as well. More assists for Arizona came via Kevin Petovello, Karl Linden, and Jeff Kyrzakos, who each chipped in one.
