A local store is collecting shoes to donate to the Tulsa Day Center, which helps homeless people.
Green Country Podiatry is sponsoring a shoe drive.
You can drop off your gently used or new footwear at area shoe retailers or at Green Country Podiatry, located at 3627 South Harvard.
Dr. Maureen Crotty, DPM, says "Dr. Francis and I volunteer each year in the clinic at the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless. We've noticed that the women, men and children that use the center really have a need for proper footwear. We are continuing our support of a shoe drive for the fifth year because it is such a worthwhile cause."
All donations need to be given by December 21st for Christmas delivery.
For the past three years, the 3 Gun Nation Pro Series shooting competition has only been for men. This year, they are opening it up to an elite group of women, and a Tulsa Police officer is one of those women. Ten ladies have earned their spot on this pro series. Each pro has to use a riffle, shotgun, and pistol, and it's not easy to be a master of all three.
