City leaders are excited to announce a major event coming to Tulsa.
It could mean more jobs for our area.
Tulsa will host the DUG Midcontinent Conference April 22 & 23 at the Renaissance Hotel.
Organizers say it should attract 400 participants focused on developing unconventional gas and other resources.
It could also boost Tulsa's presence as a destination for tourists and travelers which would boost our local economy.
If it is a success, Tulsa will become the permanent home for the conference.
For the past three years, the 3 Gun Nation Pro Series shooting competition has only been for men. This year, they are opening it up to an elite group of women, and a Tulsa Police officer is one of those women. Ten ladies have earned their spot on this pro series. Each pro has to use a riffle, shotgun, and pistol, and it's not easy to be a master of all three.
