Owasso Man Arrested After TPD Finds Counterfeit Currency

Tulsa Police arrested a man for possession of U.S. counterfeit currency at a Super 8, Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Officers were dispatched to a Super 8 on East Skelly Drive late last night and found 23-year-old Bryan Osha Cleary hiding in a parked vehicle.

Cleary gave the arresting officers a false identity of "Bryan Bippus" however, officers were able to identify him.

Next to the parked car, officers found a red or orange suitcase with several counterfeited U.S. currency notes and a printer with the templates. A black bag containing uncut sheets of the counterfeited currency, cut bills and blank sheets of counterfeit paper that had been used to print other currencies was also found.

Along with the counterfeit money, "small square sheets of multicolored paper" were also found in the black bag.

According to the officer in the report, the sheets of perforated, colored paper resembled LSD squares.

Cleary was arrested on 60 complaints of possession of forged instrument, false impersonation and possession of controlled drugs.

Cleary has previous felony convictions in Tulsa County and Rogers County.
