Jenks running back Trey'Vonne Barr'e can now add the Ford Award to his resume. He beat out nine of the best high school football players in Green Country to take home the gold ball.

He and the Jenks Trojans won their first state championship in four-years beating Norman North 55-20.

The senior running back also became the Trojans all-time leading rusher this season.  Trey'Vonne led Class 6A in rushing this year with 2231-yards on 229 carries.  He averaged 9.7 yards a carry and scored 30 touchdowns.

He becomes the second Jenks Trojan to win the coveted Ford Award.  Quarterback Mark Ginther took home the trophy in 2007.

Trey'Vonne joins the likes of Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones and Atlanta Falcons defensive back Dominique Franks who have won the award.
