Officials with Tulsa Public Schools and the Tulsa Police Department will be hosting a joint press conference this morning to address safety issues in the wake of the Newton school shooting.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m., the press conference will discuss how both organizations' police departments work cooperatively to ensure the safety of all students and schools.
According to the meeting's release, Mayor Dewey Bartlett, Superintendent Keith Ballard and TPD Chief Chuck Jordan all will be in attendance. The press conference will be held at the TPD Education Service Center in Tulsa.
