Bikes For Tykes donated 220 bicycles for Tulsa-area kids, just in time for Christmas.
Volunteers from the organization helped drop them off by the dozens Monday at Academy Sports and Outdoors in midtown Tulsa.
They were then taken to Family and Children Services to be distributed to disadvantaged families.
"Riding a bike is kind of a right of passage for a child," says Christina Treat of Bikes For Tykes. "This donation allows them to have the opportunity and the freedom and the responsibility that comes with owning a bicycle."
Organizers tell ktul.com, this is their biggest donation of bikes ever.
