Waiting in Traffic Trying to Get to Shopping Areas

Posted: Updated:

Getting around the busy shopping areas could be difficult this weekend. Last minute shoppers are out in full force.

"It started early. I thought it would wait until Monday but it's pretty bad," says shopper, Amber Ford.

Ford was out doing her last minute shopping and thought she got in just in time. She says she has already noticed people driving crazy.

"You can see people weaving in and out or real close to other cars and it's scary sometimes," says Ford.

Channel 8 set a crew out to see how long it would take them to get around each shopping area. It took them an extra 15 or 20 minutes to get around. They noticed several people blocking intersections and running red lights. If you are heading to any shopping area, experts say you need to give plenty of time so you don't get frustrated and make sure there is plenty of space between you and the car in front of you because you never know when they will stop.
