Crews are reporting icy and slushy highways, and continue to treat roads and bridges. Roads that are now wet have the possibility of refreezing in the overnight hours.

In western and southwestern Oklahoma, highways are slick in some spots. Crews continue to report slick areas on I-40 between the Texas stateline and the Oklahoma City area.

Highways in southern Oklahoma, including I-35 between the Oklahoma City area and the Texas stateline are clearing up, but continue to be slick in spots. Crews anticipate refreezing overnight.

In eastern Oklahoma, roadways are clearing, but there are still slick spots in some areas. Refreezing is possible in the overnight hours.

Highways in most of southeastern Oklahoma are clearing, but remain slick in spots. Crews anticipate some overnight refreezing.

Highways in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas are mainly clear and crews continue to monitor conditions and are prepared to treat isolated areas as needed. Drivers should still be cautious of slick spots and black ice. Commuters should plan extra travel time and make sure cars are clear of ice before driving.

Crews will continue to monitor conditions throughout the evening as freezing conditions are expected to continue. Drivers are asked to be cautious and highway travel is strongly discouraged. Travelers are urged to check with other states, especially Texas and Arkansas, before driving out-of-state.
