Spread the Warmth Blanket Drive

Posted: Updated:

It's cold in Tulsa. That much is true.

With temperatures dipping well below freezing during the evenings in the Tulsa area, some people may be struggling to keep warm. And during the days, the wind and cold temperatures still don't let up.

With that, Channel 8's Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Zeppelin has brought back the "Spread the Warmth" Blanket Drive. Beginning today, people can take new or gently used blankets to LaMode Cleaners locations around town or at Tulsa's Channel 8 studios on Lookout Mountain.

The blankets will be cleaned by LaMode and Unifirst and then handed off to Volunteers of America for local distribution.
