Tulsa Community College is hosting a program for middle and high school students still out of school.
The 'Tinkering School' at Fab Lab Tulsa allows students who are still on break to use technology to deconstruct small appliances and create sculptures that move either by motor, wind-up mechanism or wind.
The Fab Lab is generally for college students and adults, however this program allows for out-of-school students to participate in the fabrication of sculptures using state-of-the-art technology.
The completed sculptures will be on display at a Tulsa Public Library.
This school is hosted by Tulsa Alliance for Engineering in partnership with Fab Lab Tulsa and sponsored by Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers.
For the past three years, the 3 Gun Nation Pro Series shooting competition has only been for men. This year, they are opening it up to an elite group of women, and a Tulsa Police officer is one of those women. Ten ladies have earned their spot on this pro series. Each pro has to use a riffle, shotgun, and pistol, and it's not easy to be a master of all three.
