Police Make Four Arrests Following Fatal North Tulsa Shooting
TULSA, Okla. -
Tulsa Police arrest four men involved in the North Tulsa shooting death.
It happened Friday, January 4.
According to the police report, Jamal Dante Long, 19, was arrested for 1st degree murder, possession of a firearm, false impersonation and joyriding. The same day, Deonta Dixon, 21, and Warren Dixon, 30, were arrested after police recognized the suspects' vehicle. Monday, January 7th, officers also arrested Sean Collins, 18, for first degree murder.
The stolen black Toyota Sienna matched a description used in the homicide and in a shooting three days earlier.
Police pulled the vehicle over and a passenger on the driver's side jumped out and ran. Warren Dixon had been driving the vehicle and Deonta Dixon was in the backseat. Police recovered a firearm in the van. Both had previous warrants.
Long stated in an interview with police that he and three others exited a vehicle and walked to observe the victim. Long said that two of his accomplice shot at Stanley. He stated that a 9mm and .380 caliber handgun were used.
Ronnie Stanley, 32, was treated and transported to St. John's Hospital, where he died from his injuries following the shooting.
Officers were en route to the location when more calls came in stating that there was a male down in the street. Stanley was treated by EMSA and Tulsa Fire Department prior to being transported.
According to the report, Stanley sustained bullet wounds to his head and leg.
Long told police officer that "his accomplices had an ongoing dispute with the victim over an outstanding money debt."
Tulsa Police are still investigating and have stated there is no clear cut motive at this time. The homicide unit is still searching for witnesses and believe there are more suspects.
