Cowboys Win First Big 12 Game

Posted: Updated:

Travis Ford's Cowboys started the season 12-1 and looked like a whole new basketball team.  But since Big 12 play began they have failed to find the win column.  That was until Wednesday night.  The Cowboys beat the TCU Horned Frogs pretty good, 63-45.

The Pokes were led by freshman phenom Marcus Smart and Markel Brown with 14-points.  La'Bryan Nash added 13.

Oklahoma State shot 52-percent from the field and held TCU to just 38-percent.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for OSU.

Up next is Bedlam in Norman Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm.

A side note from the game, the Oklahoma State players all wore a ribbon on their uniform with the name Patsy on them.  It was in honor of legendary coach Eddie Sutton's wife Patsy who passed away Tuesday in Tulsa.
