2013 Elite 8 Ford Award: Week 1 Nominees

Posted: Updated:

We have set the bar high in our first week of the 2013 Elite 8 Ford Award.  Our first two nominees always come strong.

Our girls nominee is Jessica Washington.  The Jenks point guard is a three-time Elite 8 nominee and scored 51-points last week against Muskogee.

Once her high school days are done she's headed to Chapel Hill to play for the North Carolina Tarheels.  She says she's always wanted to be Heel!

Our boys nominee is headed to play division-one as well.  Bartlesville power forward Jacob Hartsock will be playing for the BYU Cougars after high school.

The two-time Elite 8 nominee had a big game against Ponca City.  He scored 26-points and pulled down 15-rebounds.

Jessica and Jacob are two area kids you're going to want to keep track of in the future.
