Glenpool Police Investigate Sexual Assault of 12 Year Old Girl

Glenpool police begin their investigation after a 12-year-old girl reports she was raped.

Chief Dennis Waller told KTUL.com the girl's father called police to make the report late Tuesday evening.

Detectives interviewed the girl, who told them she was walking home from school and was picked up near her home in the Brentwood Addition by the suspect.

Waller said it's unclear at this point if she knew the suspect or not.

The assault happened sometime between when the girl was picked up and then dropped off at her home.

Waller said detectives have not developed a suspect yet. They've sent evidence to the state's crime lab.

The girl was not seriously injured in the assault, Waller said. Anyone with information is asked to call Glenpool police non-emergency at (918) 322-8110.
