Broken Arrow Expressway Speeders Beware: Tulsa Police to Crack Down

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa Police will be out in full force this week to crack down on speeding and dangerous driving on the Broken Arrow Expressway.

The Riverside Division Traffic Unit is leading the charge. It will be exercising a "no tolerance attitude."

Channel 8 spoke with a business located just off Hwy 51/64. LaShawna Gresham, the manager at Daylight Donuts, said, "Once I leave to go home, there's a lot of traffic. Lot of people speeding through on the B.A."

Gresham said she has heard from other area businesses who are also concerned about drivers speeding on and off the highway. She said it makes things more dangerous for people walking in the area.

Police said dangerous drivers could face a penalty between an $150 ticket and a court appearance. The crack down begins Monday and lasts until Friday.
