Posted: Updated:

Glenpool police release new information in their investigation following the sexual assault of a young girl.

On Tuesday, January 8th, a 12-year-old reported that she was sexually assaulted by a stranger.

Glenpool Police Chief Dennis Waller said she was picked up by the suspect on her way home from school. She was taken by the suspect to two locations and dropped off at her home around 6:30 that evening.

Waller explained to KTUL.com that the suspect took the girl to what she described as a construction site. While there, a person came up to ask what they were doing there.

Waller said the suspect told the witness that nothing was going on and the two left.

Police want to speak to the person that may have seen the suspect and the victim last Tuesday around 4:30pm.

The suspect is described as an older white man with gray hair and gray beard. He stands between 5-feet 8-inches to 6-feet tall and weighs about 280 pounds.

The man may be driving an older 1990s model Jeep Cherokee that is either white or a light color.

Call Glenpool police non-emergency at 322-8110 if you have information about this crime.

Police said the girl was not beaten or seriously injured during the assault.
