Former Sand Springs Substitute Teacher Convicted of 12 Counts of Sexual Crimes

A former substitute teacher in Sand Springs has been convicted of 14 counts of sexual crimes.
Steven Beard is charged with 10 counts of Lewd Molestation, one count of Lewd or Indecent Proposal To A Child, and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.
Beard, 37, was accused of having sex with a teenage student.
He admitted to meeting the 14-year-old while he was teaching at Clyde Boyd Middle School according to court documents. He also admitted to having sex with the girl 10-12 times between July 22nd and August 9th, 2012.
Monday, a judge found him guilty and sentenced him to 20 years in jail and fines.
