Tulsa Fire Investigators are looking into what caused a house fire that left one person dead, Monday Evening.

Crews were called to a home in the 1500 block of West Newton around 6:30. When they arrived, crews reported "heavy flames" coming from the front of the house.

District Chief Jeremy Moore tells KTUL.com, the fire got so intense, they had pull firefighters from the structure for a short time.

Moore says once crews were able to bring the fire under control, firefighters returned inside and discovered the body of a man. Moore adds, crews attempted to revive the victim but were unsuccessful in their efforts.

At this point, investigators have no idea what may have started the fire. Chief Moore says this was the third fire in the area that crews responded to, Monday.

This is a developing story, look for more later on-air on Tulsa's Channel 8 and on-line at KTUL.com.
