Governor Fallin Touts Economic Impact of Aerial Industry

Posted: Updated:

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin and aerospace officials are promoting the economic impact to Oklahoma of the unmanned aerial systems industry.

Fallin and officials with the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International plan to release data Wednesday on the economic impact and job creation of the industry in the state.

Fallin has long touted the aerospace industry in Oklahoma and the study suggests the state is poised to benefit from the rapidly growing industry.

The governor formed the Unmanned Aerial Systems Council in 2011 to support the industry's development in the state.
