Muskogee investigators are looking into the death of a man after he was involved in a fight.
Police Lieutenant Bobby Lee said 47-year-old John Wier collapsed Sunday just after he got into a fight near 3731 Club Estates Dr.
There are currently few clues as to why he collapsed and stopped breathing following the altercation.
He was carried to the hospital but died on arrival. Now it's up to the state medical examiner to try and figure out why Wier died.
"All subjects involved as well as witnesses have been contacted," Lee said. "Investigators are currently following up with the Medical Examiner's Office to try & determine exactly what the subject died from."
Lee said the department will not release any more details until the examiner has filed a report.
