The United States Attorney's Office says a Texas man has pleaded guilty for using counterfeit bills in Seminole County.
Court documents indicate Charles Sims, 35, from Snyder, TX, knowingly used the counterfeit bills at a Wal-Mart in November of 2012.
An indictment indicates the $5 bills were altered to look like $100 bills.
Both the Seminole Police Department and the United States Secret Service investigated the crime.
A judge will sentence Sims at a later date. The maximum sentence is no more than 20 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine.
On Sunday night a tornado went through the town of Carney. It destroyed or damaged about 40 homes. When you look out at the area there are homes in every direction that show some kind of damage. Some of the families that have lived there for 17 years and have never been through anything like this. They didn't even have enough time to get their family in the shelter.
