Tulsa Police responded to a stabbing just after 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25.

According to a TPD Homicide Unit report, a witness saw Dennis Daney, 55, and the victim, 31-year-old Justin Todd on a porch near 1300 E. Haskell Street.

The witness told police that they saw the Todd collapse near the porch. According to Daney's booking report, Todd had been stabbed in the chest.

Todd was transported to St. John's Hospital, where he died at 6:01 p.m.

Daney was located by TPD near the crime scene with blood on his hands and a bloody knife in his pocket, according to the report.

TPD arrested Daney on first degree murder charges.

According to the report, Daney is wanted in Latimer and Pittsburg counties.

Daney has previous offenses in Pittsburg County for possession of controlled substance, assault upon a police officer, eluding a police officer, assault and battery and a DUI.
