Must See: Brent Douglas Interview & Smashing Exit On GMO

Posted: Updated:

Former KMOD morning radio host and phone prankster Brent Douglas joined the Good Morning Oklahoma team Thursday morning.

You've got another chance to see him live Friday morning between 6:00 and 7:00am as well.

Douglas, aka Roy D. Mercer, stopped by Thursday some interviews and to get us caught up on what's been happening since he left the air last year.

He worked with Phil Stone for 27 years on the KMOD "Morning Zoo" drive-time program. The pair left the airwaves in October.

Douglas shed some light on how and why KMOD parted ways with the team in an interview with Good Morning Oklahoma's Laura Moss.

He reflected on some of the best times with Phil Stone, who passed away suddenly in November of last year.

But, in true prankster fashion, Douglas ended the interview with a smash.

He rolled backwards, toppled off the news desk and crashed to the floor with a groan. He was OK, but admitted afterwards that the distance to the ground was a lot further than it looked.

Douglas survived day one on GMO. Will he make it on day two? Find out Friday between 6:00 and 7:00am on Tulsa's Channel 8.
