Tulsa -

A jury will now decide if a former Victory Christian employee is guilty of making a lewd proposal to a 14-year-old girl.

Israel Castillo, 23, was formally arraigned Friday on the lewd proposal charge and one count of using a computer to facilitate a sex crime.

The court entered a plea of not guilty on Castillo's behalf and Castillo requested a jury trial, according to court records.

The jury trial is scheduled for August 19.

Castillo claims he did not know the girl was under age when he allegedly sent explicit Facebook messages to her. Prosecutors say Castillo had known the girl for at least two years and met her in person.

If convicted, he could face 20 years in prison.
