A local business gave customers a taste of summer Saturday.
Josh's Sno Shack gave away 500 free snow cones, plus food from Chic-fil-a and T-shirts.
"We've got to remind people how amazing summer is," says Josh Juarez, owner of Josh's Sno Shack.
The event raised money for New Hope, a charity that invests in the lives of children who have a parent in prison.
The company will match all the money raised from Saturday's event.
Josh's Sno Shack opens for the season in April.
On Sunday night a tornado went through the town of Carney. It destroyed or damaged about 40 homes. When you look out at the area there are homes in every direction that show some kind of damage. Some of the families that have lived there for 17 years and have never been through anything like this. They didn't even have enough time to get their family in the shelter.
