A new expansion project is getting ready to start on I-44.
The Transportation Commission just awarded a $15 million contract to replace the bridge over 177th E. Avenue near Catoosa.
The highway will also be widened from four to eight lanes.
Construction should start in late spring and last about 15 months.
As an inspection of the Ozark Pipeline continues at the floor of Oologah Lake, the company overseeing the project is working to assure everyone that there is no reason for concern.
