Glenpool, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa Indian Arts Festival is 27 years strong, and the celebration is underway this weekend in Glenpool.

Nationally recognized artists and craftsman are showcasing their talents thorough an art market, cultural demonstrations and storytelling.

Authentic American Indian food also helped ensure people did not leave hungry.

"If you know where you come from, then you can have a better lifestyle in your future." says Kimberly Greene-Bugg, an artist.  "We're here to educate the public."

Tulsa Indian Art Festival is a non-prophit, all-volunteer network sponsoring scholarships in visual and performing arts to qualified American Indian students.

The show continues Sunday at the Glenpool Conference Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $8.
