A Tulsa woman was arrested after police found marijuana growing in a closet of her children's bedroom.

Veronica Thompson, 21, was arrested Thursday night on complaints of cultivation of marijuana in presence of a minor and child endangerment, as well as a previous warrant for petty larceny, according to an arrest report.

Police were called to Thompson's apartment complex near East Pine Street and North Yale Avenue to check on a noise complaint and a fight.

Officers found a marijuana plant in a closet of Thompson's apartment, just steps from where her children sleep and keep their toys, according to the arrest report.

The single plant and grow light were sitting in plain view, the arrest report states.

The children were taken into protective custody.

Thompson remained in the Tulsa County Jail late Friday morning. Her bail was set at $55,300.
