Freezing Rain Falling in Tulsa; Expect a Slick Commute

Posted: Updated:

Roads are slick right now and that will continue to be a concern through the morning rush hour.

Temperatures are flirting with the freezing mark in Tulsa and just below freezing in rural areas.

Freezing rain and rain will be the main precipitation types across the area today with some flurries further north.

With temperatures generally hovering above freezing in many areas, expect the roads to be more wet and slick than icy, but still take it slow as the bridges and overpasses will be treacherous at times.

After a few flurries tonight, expect some clearing on Friday- setting up for a great weekend!

Today: Freezing rain and rain, becoming lighter toward the afternoon. Winds: SE 15-25 mph. High in Tulsa: 38.

Tonight: Rain tapering off; becoming mostly cloudy and cold. Winds: W 5-15 mph. Low in Tulsa: 23.
