At least one food delivery company called in additional help to meet the surge in orders amid the winter weather.

"Whenever they need help, they'll call me and I'll say sure," said delivery worker Michael Holland. He is a film student at TU and delivered a few orders during his break from classes Wednesday.

Holland works for "You Buy We Fly" in Tulsa. It delivers food from restaurants and groceries. Holland said many of his customers are elderly or disabled and rely on the service. That is a key reason the service continued to deliver during the winter weather.

Holland said the roads were not a problem for him, but he said he noticed many drivers speeding past him, not yielding to the conditions.

YBWF is open from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
