Flu Watch: No New Deaths in Tulsa County, Still Most Deaths in State

Department of Health officials reported an additional death due to the flu Thursday morning in their weekly update.

The health department report released Thursday shows there have now been 26 deaths and 946 hospitalizations since the start of the flu season in September. The season runs through May.

Tulsa County has seen six deaths due to the flu since the season began with no new deaths this week, according to the department's website. There have been a total of 268 hospitalizations.

Additionally, Tulsa County remains the only one in the state with the highest number of deaths. Comanche and Oklahoma Counties have seen three deaths.
