2013 Elite 8 Ford Award: Week 7 Nominees

Posted: Updated:

Our week 7 nominees for the 2013 Elite 8 Ford Award are newcomers to the honor.  Union's I'mani Davis and Jacob Seidel are both seniors and the leaders on their teams.

I'mani scored a combined 48-points and grabbed 26-rebounds in wins over Broken Arrow and Muskogee last week.

She fell in love with the game of basketball almost by accident, but she says she has her dad to thank for the passion.

Jacob break a school record last week scoring 42-points against Charles Page.  That's the most points scored by a Jenks player in a single game.

He says he's honored to have the record.  His coach is pretty happy as well.  Jenks head coach Clay Martin was part of the Nathan Hale team that had 41-points scored against them by Brooks Lister in 1991.

Congrats to Jacob Seidel of Jenks and Union I'mani Davis.  They are your week 7 nominees for the 2013 Elite 8 Ford Award.
