Housing Market On The Rise

Posted: Updated:

The housing market is not only on the rise again, prices shot up last month to numbers not seen since the boom years. The National Association of Realtors showed home prices went up more than 12 percent in January. That's the biggest percentage gain since 2005.

January also saw the most amount of permit requests to build new homes in the last four years. Experts say the housing market has gotten its boost from low mortgage rates and a drop in unemployment.
