Area police officers are getting extra training to keep underage drinkers off the streets.
We went along on a few random compliance checks Wednesday night at a South Tulsa Walmart, liquor store, and restaurant but police found no violations there.
Out of 19 places they went in undercover, two sold to underage people.
The Oklahoma ABLE Commission is making sure officers know the latest alcohol laws.
Along with stores selling alcohol to minors, they're also learning how to identify fake IDs and and underage drinkers at parties.
"In 2010, Oklahoma spent $831 million on underage drinking," says ABLE agent Erik Smoot. "It's a huge problem. We know that the majority of kids are drinking at home or at someone else's house where they're being furnished alcohol."
20% of all alcohol sold is consumed by underage kids.
