Lon Kruger's Sooners were primed to sweep their season series with the Texas Longhorns Wednesday night in Austin. But the Horns rally and beat OU in overtime 92-86 in overtime.
Oklahoma had a 22-point lead with 7:54 left in the game. Texas goes on a 17-2 run to pull within seven points.
Senior Steven Pledger started the game red hot. He hit his first five three pointers and finished the game with 18-points.
The Sooners were led by Romero Osby with 31-points.
Texas was paced by Myck Kabongo with 31. He hit a huge off balance shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime tied at 77.
The momentum was all on Texas' side at that point. They opened OT with a three. Oklahoma pulled within one a couple of times, but could never regain the lead.
Texas wins just their fifth game in Big 12 play. Oklahoma drops to 18-9, 9-6 in league action. The Sooners will try to regroup Saturday at home against Iowa State. Tip-off is set for 12:30pm
