Suspect in Spartan College Student's Death Pleads Not Guilty
A 41-year-old man accused of shooting a classmate back in February appeared before a Tulsa courtroom Monday.
Mark Hopkins was in court Monday morning following a shooting incident that took place back on Feb. 21 when Tulsa Police were called out to an apartment complex across the street from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.
At the scene police found three teens had been shot and one killed, later identified as 18-year-old Chaz Fain. Hopkins was later charged with three counts of shooting with intent to kill and one count of first degree murder.
According to court documents, Hopkins pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. A Tulsa judge set his preliminary hearing for April 15.
