Forbes is out with its 2013 list of the world's richest people. Mexico's Carlos Slim takes the top spot for the fourth year in a row. The telecom mogul has a net worth of about 73-billion dollars.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates is in second place, worth 67-billion dollars. Spain fashion executive Amancio Ortega beat out Warren Buffett for the third spot, worth 57-billion dollars. Buffett dropped to fourth place, with 53-point-5 billion. Software mogul Larry Ellison rounds out the top five, with 43-billion.

This is the first year since 2000 that Buffett has not been among the top three. Forbes entire list includes a record 1,426 billionaires with a total net worth of 5-point-4 trillion dollars. 210 new billionaires were added this year.

Once again, the U-S leads the list with 442 billionaires, followed by Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas and the Mideast.
