Bra Fitting Event To Benefit Cancer Research

Posted: Updated:

A Tulsa store is helping size up breast cancer one bra at a time.

Dillard's Promenade Mall will host "Fit for a Cure" all day Friday. All women are invited to get their bust measured for no charge.

In return, the store will donate $1 dollar to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

If ladies purchase certain merchandise, the store will donate an additional $2 dollars to the cause.

Organizer Susan Cook said its a chance to help a stranger and yourself at the same time.

It's amazing how many women do not wear a bra that fits them," Cook said. "They get fitted into a bra that fits them and is very comfortable. They're surprised that it takes away a lot of aches and pains. Many people associated with survivors are really happy to come in, take 15 minutes out of their day to have two dollars donated to research and the money stays in the Tulsa area."

Cook said they hope to raise $4,000 dollars at this event.

You can get involved Friday at 10:00a.m. through 8:00p.m. inside the Dillard's at Promenade Mall.

There's no obligation to take part. You can call ahead and get an appointment or just show up.
