Soldier Accused of Shooting at Person in West Tulsa

An Army soldier was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after a witness saw him firing shots at another person in west Tulsa.

Marcus Tanner, 23, was arrested by Tulsa Police just after midnight Tuesday. He was booked on a charge of shooting with intent to kill.

According to the police report, the witness told police that Tanner fired multiple gun shots from a firearm at an individual in the 500 block of S. 45th West Ave.

Police responded to the scene and were able to apprehend Tanner shortly after the incident and was book and taken to the Detective Division for further questioning.

He is expected to appear in court later this month and is on $75,000 bond.
