Cowgirls Fall Short of Sweet 16

The Oklahoma State Cowgirls were trying to get back to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2008.  But Tuesday night 2nd-seed Duke rallies from 15 points down in the second half to end 7th-seed OSU's season.

The Cowgirls had it going in the first half.  The shot 46% from the field in the first 20 minutes.  Oklahoma State was paced by Liz Donohoe with 14 points.  Brittney Martin added 13 and Toni Young finished with 12.

The Cowgirls were equally as good on defensive in the first half.  They hold Duke to just 30% shooting early.

Oklahoma State led 34-21 at the half, but after the break the Blue Devils flipped the script.  The outscored OSU 47-25 in the second half.  They shot 42% and held OSU to just 32.

Duke was led by Elizabeth Williams with a game-high 16 points.

The Cowgirls finish the season 22-11.
