ORU Baseball is Pretty in Pink

Posted: Updated:

The ORU baseball team was wearing pink Tuesday night in their game against the Oklahoma Sooners.  It was "Turn Tulsa Pink" at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

Even the fans got into the act.  Several were wearing pink, they had pink in their hair and one guy even had a pink mustache.

The ORU Pink Jerseys can be purchased for just $30.  The proceeds going to breast cancer awareness.

As for the game itself the Oral Roberts jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first when Logan Domenico got his eighth hit of the season off the Sooners pitching staff.  Nate Goro scored to give the Golden Eagles the early lead.

Oklahoma answered a couple of innings later.  OU's Max White hit a double bringing Jack Mayfield home to tie the game at one in the third.

The Sooners took the lead on two bases loaded walks and that's all they would need to snap ORU's three game winning streak.

Oklahoma wins 3-1.
