Collinsville Man Killed In Pontotoc County Crash

Posted: Updated:

A Collinsville man is killed in a serious crash in south central Oklahoma.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said 47-year-old Boyd Bolin died when his pickup was hit head on.

The crash happened along Highway 1 near Roff, Okla Tuesday around 4:30pm.

Troopers said the woman driving the car that hit him also died. Lauren Hatton, 22, of Ada passed away at the hospital from her injuries. A 2-month-old boy was also in the car with her. He was taken to an Oklahoma hospital to be treated for injuries.

In all, three cars were involved.

Troopers believe Hatton's car crossed the center line and hit the trailer pulled by a truck driving ahead of Bolin.

Hatton's car bounced off the trailer and hit Bolin's pickup head on. It took firefighters more than an hour to free him from the crumpled vehicle.

The people inside the truck towing the trailer were not hurt.

Investigators don't yet know what caused Hatton to veer.
