2013 Elite 8 Ford Award Winners Named

Posted: Updated:

Jenks point guard Jessica Washington and Owasso guard Jaylen Lowe take home the 2013 Elite 8 Ford Award Player of the Year honors.

Jessica, a three-time nominee, led Oklahoma's Class 6A in scoring with almost 24-points a game. She could not attend the Elite 8 Ford Award show Wednesday night at the KTUL studios because she was playing in the McDonald's All-American game in Chicago, IL.

Jaylen has been to Lookout Mountain several times. This was his second nomination for our basketball Ford Award and he was also nominated for the football Ford Award.

He was third in scoring in Oklahoma's largest class with over 19-points a game. He led the Owasso Rams to the Class 6A Semifinals before losing to Edmond Memorial.

Congratulations to Jessica Washington and Jaylen Lowe. They are KTUL's Elite 8 Ford Award Players of the Year.
