Sentencing for Woman Convicted of Pushing Husband to Death

A Tulsa woman convicted of killing her husband by pushing him out the window of their high-rise apartment is scheduled for sentencing.

Amber Hilberling is to be sentenced Tuesday in Tulsa County District Court after a jury convicted her in March of second-degree murder for the June 7, 2011, death of Joshua Hilberling. The jury recommended a 25-year-prison sentence.

Joshua Hilberling died after crashing through the couple's 25th floor apartment window onto the roof of a parking garage 17 floors below.

Amber Hilberling testified during her trial that she shoved her husband in self-defense during an argument after he grabbed her shoulders.
