A former Tulsa Public Schools building is one step closer to having a new lease on life.
Monday Night, the board voted to enter into a letter of intent that would turn the former Roosevelt Elementary School property over to the Oklahoma School of Performing and Visual Arts.
According to officials familiar with the deal, the non-profit organization representing the School for the Arts will have a five-year option to purchase the property for an estimated $2.8 million dollars.
Once the sale is officially approved, the school could open within two to three years.
