Herb & Plant Festival Draws Thousands To Downtown Jenks

More than 100 vendors set up in Downtown Jenks for the Herb and Plant Festival.
The one-day event brings thousands of shoppers to Downtown Jenks each year and continues to gain in popularity.
The festival was even awarded the 2010 Governor's Conference on Tourism's Redbud Award for Outstanding Event.
People come from as far as Fayetteville, Arkansas, to be a part of the event.
Mari Migliore is with the Jenks Garden club, and she says Saturday was all about getting people involved. "We're talking about education and beautification, and what this festival does, it promotes both," Migliore says. "We're talking to people about growing beautiful things and beautifying the environment at the same time.
Money raised goes to beautification of Downtown Jenks.
