East Tulsa Restaurant Robbed at Gunpoint

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa Police are searching for two suspects who robbed an East Tulsa restaurant at gunpoint, late Sunday Night.

It happened at the Taco Bueno in the 6500 block of East 21st Street South.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Darren Bristow tells KTUL.com, around 9:50pm as employees were closing up for the evening, two men wearing all black entered the restaurant and pointed a pair of black semi-automatic handguns at the three employees.

Bristow says the suspect then split the employees up. One suspect took two employees to the back of the restaurant while the other employee was held at gunpoint and ordered to empty the register.

The suspects ordered all three employees into the back of the restaurant and told them to "wait ten minutes" and then call police.

The suspects then fled the restaurant in an unknown direction with an indeterminate amount of cash in hand.

Bristow says the employees were obviously shaken up by the ordeal. Investigators are examining the stores security cameras for evidence.

Police ask if anyone has information on this case that might lead to an arrest, call Tulsa Police Crimestoppers at (918) 596-COPS (9677).
