An Oklahoma soldier supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Kuwait died, Thursday, May 2.
According to the Department of Defense, 21-year-old Private First Class Charles P. McClure of Stratford died of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Camp Buehring, Kuwait.
McClure was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 42nd Filed Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division in Fort Carson, Colo.
McClure joined the U.S. Army November 1, 2011. He deployed in February of this year to Kuwait.
He was awarded the National Defense Service Ribbon, Global War on Terror Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
Specialist Trinidad Santiago Jr., 25, of San Diego, Calif. also died as a result of injuries.
